The legislative initiative to liberalize taxes is ready. According to the amendments, from December 1, the employer will have the right not to pay income tax on salaries up to 750 lari per month when calculating salaries to employees. Such benefits apply to salaries up to GEL 1,500 per month at one enterprise. The tax initiative is designed for a period of 6 months.

This applies to those employees whose salary does not exceed 1,500 lari per month, said Beka Liluashvili, first deputy chairman Committee on Industrial Economics and Economic Policy of Georgia.
“This program is familiar to our private sector, we are continuing this program to ease the burden on the private sector and, as a result, preserve jobs. This particular event is available to 42,000 companies and will ease the burden of the crisis on them. The program will be an additional guarantee for 550 thousand employees that they will retain their jobs”
