From January 1, 2024, the consumer tariff for electricity in Georgia will be reduced both in the capital and in the regions of the country. The decision to reduce tariffs was made at a meeting of the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission (GNERC). New prices for utilities in Batumi in 2024.
Electricity prices will fall in Georgia in 2024
In accordance with the new tariffs, the cost of a kilowatt-hour of electricity for the population and enterprises will decrease by 0.03 lari. Thus, Tbilisi subscribers consuming from 0 to 101 kilowatt-hours per month will now pay 15,041 tetri per kilowatt-hour, instead of the previous 18,041 tetri. Subscribers who consume more than 301 kilowatt-hours per month will also receive a tariff reduction from 26,537 tetri to 23,537 tetri.
Electricity tariff in Batumi in 2024
Changes in electricity tariffs in Batumi in 2024 apply not only to metropolitan, but also regional subscribers. Regional consumers consuming up to 101 kilowatt-hours of electricity will now pay 14.731 tetri per kilowatt-hour, while those consuming over 301 kilowatt-hours will see a tariff reduction from 26.227 tetri to 23.227 tetri.

New water tariffs in Batumi in 2024
The new tariffs are set for a three-year period from 2024 to 2027. The reduction in tariffs affected all categories of users, both in the capital and in the regions. In parallel with this, new tariffs for water supply have been established.
Water tariff for the population of Batumi 2024
The water tariff for the population of Georgia and Batumi 2024 remains unchanged, but commercial users in Tbilisi, Rustavi and Mtskheta will have to pay more per cubic meter of water. This tariff increase is due to the plans of the new owner of the company “Georgia Water & Power” (GWP) – corporations “Aqualia” on large investments in the repair and development of the water supply system in the regions.
