“Congratulations on the upcoming 2021. I wish you and your loved ones good health and prosperity. Last year was unusual and full of challenges for the whole world. We found ourselves at war with an invisible enemy who forced us to abandon our usual rhythm of life, losing precious people. Along with the great test, at the same time, 2020 was also a year of great reassessment, when each of us thought about the most important value of human life and health, without which nothing has value.
Most importantly, 2020 was a year of unprecedented civic responsibility, where state and citizen faced the challenge together. The fight against an invisible enemy has its heroes. These heroes are people working in the healthcare sector, doctors, nurses or paramedics who are still fighting to save our citizens.
I want them to always remember that we are all especially grateful to them. “These heroes are police officers, soldiers, local government employees, every one of those public servants who have worked tirelessly all this time to create a safer environment, just to help each of our citizens.”
